Centralized tool

What differentiates Confluence from other similar products?

There are specific things that Confluence has helped us with that we haven't experienced before with other tools. The biggest thing that it has improved is the documentation, it has helped us store essential information for our team, and the way that the platform is structured makes it easy to find this information, since the search function is very robust and very well done. I like that everything is so centralized, and there is no need to use other tools to gather information around, since it's all in here. The built-in editors also help streamline the process of brainstorming and creating new content for our business.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

One of my favorite aspects of Confluence is that it offers seamless collaboration features that, when combined, make a strong platform that creates a very productive environment. I like that I can tag my team members and leave comments on certain documents when needed, this notifies the team and everyone is up to date with all the things that need to be done. Aside from that, the templates offered by Confluence are of great help when it comes to creating different projects, and I like that they adjust to any type of work that we need to do, whether it is a simple brainstorming or a proper project plan.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It's a good program, however, I believe that there is a learning curve and it can be very overwhelming for people who are starting to use the program, it can be confusing to use at first and I don't think that they offer enough training material to be able to properly integrate as fast as possible. There's also another thing that I dislike, which is the fact that because everything is on the cloud, there's no offline mode, which sometimes I would like to be able to access, but it's really limited.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend anyone to first start with establishing a clear structure of the documentation, and have everything organized with a hierarchy, so that your teams don't get confused and they won't have any issues finding the information that's necessary for them in the moment. Another thing I recommend is to customize the notifications so that you're always notified of anything new that happens but only of the things that are relevant to your work.

What differentiates Confluence from other similar products?

Confluence Whiteboard is an unusual feature on knowledge management platforms.. I have benefitted hugely from this feature because it makes brain storming and planning work actions a lot easier. I can illustrate my ideas better using stickers, emojis, shapes , lines and so on. I can even turn my ideas into actions by utilizing the Confluence integration with Jira, to turn nice team ideas into project issues on Jira.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Its lovely how Confluence centralizes important work information around key projects happening in my company. I can take notes and refine ideas with my team mates, spread out across different locations.

What do you dislike most about this product?

To be honest, Confluence layouts are outdated and in my opinion, not very user friendly. Confluence is also lacking in any capability to work in offline state, which I think is a big limitation.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I recommend this platform for effective idea and knowledge management for fast paced teams.

What differentiates Confluence from other similar products?

Key third party apps we utilize at work integrates seamlessly with Confluence. On the second part, Confluence's artificial intelligence provisions , brings a lot more interactivity into our Confluence Pages and makes it easier to turn scattered project notes into more polished documentation formats available for effective day to day project management.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Confluence integrates with Jira , out of the box. This integration allows us to connect project documentation with project tasks . As a result of this, my team members have easy , on the go access to documentations on all aspects of team and departmental projects.

What do you dislike most about this product?

When dealing with large volumes of spaces and pages, Confluence appears to get easily cluttered, making it difficult to find older documentations. Functionalities like advanced search while effective , can just be a lot more intuitive.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

With Confluence, information management across teams and departments at my company is incredibly easier.
