What differentiates Confluence from other similar products?

There are specific things that Confluence has helped us with that we haven't experienced before with other tools. The biggest thing that it has improved is the documentation, it has helped us store essential information for our team, and the way that the platform is structured makes it easy to find this information, since the search function is very robust and very well done. I like that everything is so centralized, and there is no need to use other tools to gather information around, since it's all in here. The built-in editors also help streamline the process of brainstorming and creating new content for our business.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

One of my favorite aspects of Confluence is that it offers seamless collaboration features that, when combined, make a strong platform that creates a very productive environment. I like that I can tag my team members and leave comments on certain documents when needed, this notifies the team and everyone is up to date with all the things that need to be done. Aside from that, the templates offered by Confluence are of great help when it comes to creating different projects, and I like that they adjust to any type of work that we need to do, whether it is a simple brainstorming or a proper project plan.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It's a good program, however, I believe that there is a learning curve and it can be very overwhelming for people who are starting to use the program, it can be confusing to use at first and I don't think that they offer enough training material to be able to properly integrate as fast as possible. There's also another thing that I dislike, which is the fact that because everything is on the cloud, there's no offline mode, which sometimes I would like to be able to access, but it's really limited.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend anyone to first start with establishing a clear structure of the documentation, and have everything organized with a hierarchy, so that your teams don't get confused and they won't have any issues finding the information that's necessary for them in the moment. Another thing I recommend is to customize the notifications so that you're always notified of anything new that happens but only of the things that are relevant to your work.

What Confluence does differently is the link to a large number of platforms, the integration process is optimal and allows for covering a large amount of information, which provides a high capacity for content management and facilitates the fact of being able to centralize everything in one place. We use it to be able to store all our documents safely, having all our information in one place facilitates the creation of content, the administration of its access, sending or editing, contributing to creating an effective database, allowing us to omit the fact of searching for information in the different platforms that we use in our management,

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Confluence is an innovative tool that presents a space to integrate and incorporate data, ideas and content in one place, creating an open collaborative workspace with multiple document management tools allowing not only to manage, share and edit, but also to combine information from different platforms, integrating and centralizing all our content in one place. It provides the ability to choose who to share the documents with, giving the flexibility to adapt the content either from different types of files, access management or tasks, as well as the great power to access this from the mobile phone.

What do you dislike most about this product?

One of its disadvantages lies in the limitation of the customization of the templates, being able to have the possibility of adapting the templates would open a range of possibilities to adapt the content and implement it in a much more personalized way. With such high functionality and the power to integrate multiple tools creating an open space to work, it is ideal to have a much more friendly platform to organize all the content, I still think that everything is presented somewhat disorganized and without a clear structure. Likewise, having automation to manage content is not possible at the moment, it may be something to improve.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I recommend Confluence with full responsibility, since I have used the platform I have been able to develop a better organizational capacity, it allows you to centralize all the content and makes it much easier to see where everything is, although its organizational interface still seems to me to be able to improve, having everything in one place is priceless and worth trying. Please be aware of some of the limitations before using it, but I'm sure they are really small compared to all the positive things the platform can bring.
