What differentiates Oracle NetSuite ERP from other similar products?
The Revenue Management function is fantastic; it takes a little getting used to, but it saves a tone of time. The use of many subsidiaries and currencies is quite effective. Our lives have been greatly facilitated by having all eight of our subsidiaries—which operate in three different currencies—in one location, with automatic currency conversion and automated end-of-month eliminations.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Working with NetSuite has changed the way our finance department operates. As a multi-currency organization, the simplicity of automated consolidation and reporting has reduced the number of days it takes to produce reports by days. We have been able to capture and report on a variety of different reporting perspectives and give our board better information thanks to the dimensionality of reporting.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Although there are workarounds, some functionalities, like revenue recognition posting, are not flexible. Because the system is highly automated and differs greatly from the majority of conventional systems, user acceptance might be sluggish. The handling of sales taxes in Canada has not been fully adjusted.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
For a firm seeking an all-in-one business system, I would suggest using NetSuite. Since it is cloud-based, no IT staff is needed to install or maintain the software and updates occur automatically. It offers a solid ERP solution with CRM, eCommerce, and other features as well as configurability for your company's unique requirements.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity

What differentiates Oracle NetSuite ERP from other similar products?
Our formerly fragmented firm now has a single source of truth thanks to NetSuite. All users now have access to a comprehensive perspective of our clients, making business choices simpler and enabling real-time information access.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
With apparently unlimited business applications and connectors, Netsuite is capable of a wide range of operations, from project management to simple accountancy. The system itself is very adaptable to your unique company requirements, and a range of various service add-ons are available for and charged separately.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It takes some time to become proficient with the programmer, especially when it comes to reporting. And unless you pay hefty quarterly fees for their Advanced Customer Help on top of the standard software prices, there is absolutely no support from the NetSuite crew.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
My advice is to spend some time studying the workings of NetSuite before you dive in, as it takes a bit of getting used to. Make sure you understand what features are available and how they can be used to your best advantage before embarking on any large-scale deployments. Also, make sure you factor in the additional costs of premium support packages if needed.
