Best platform for internal communication

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

Microsoft Teams is an amazing tool to maintain real time connect with our dispersed team members. The remarkable integration of Microsoft between Teams and its Office 365 stack is what sets it different & better from others. Adroitly integrated with the other Microsoft office apps, it enables us for seamless collaboration, chat, e-meet, file sharing etc. Microsoft Teams is highly customizable with a clean and easy to use interface. In the present corona times, it has lately become a blessing for our work from home teams. Group meetings, daily reporting, virtual conferences, online sessions, screen sharing is no more a task now.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Microsoft Teams helps u to maintain a close connect with the socially distant teams through instant messaging, chat, virtual meetings, video conferences. Integration with Microsoft Office apps is the best feature of Teams. It allows easy access to Office productivity apps such as Excel and Word, as well as well as cloud storage and syncing solutions like SharePoint, Power BI, and Delve. At times, when there is a need for content collaboration or reporting, it works amazingly well for file sharing. The quick chat feature is a bonus feature that allows us to quickly communicate with the team members in the times of contingency.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The Graphical User Interface lacks functionality at Microsoft Teams. It is a complicated feature and requires extensive practice & guidance to implement it. Due to compartmentalized structure, Microsoft Teams presents an air of formality amongst the users. With a defined set of rules and communication norms, it tends to inhibit an open dialogue with the team members. Another thing which I strongly advise for improvement is the time taken to access & get online onto the platform. It takes a lot of time to connect to the server as compared to the other contemporary products.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Microsoft Teams meets all my requirements, and I would suggest others to give it a try. It offers the best features to conduct meetings and share data and work-related files. The mobile app also works very smoothly along with almost all the features. The only downside is its over-dependence on network connectivity. It often gets dysfunctional when there is poor or limited network connectivity. It's a high bandwidth software which lags sometimes during traveling due to internet speed fluctuation. I would suggest to release lite version for the same. Otherwise, it is the best in the market out of all the similar available tool in the market.

Pros

  • Continually Improving Product
  • Reliable
  • Trustworthy
  • Security Protects
