Very popular and works great with Jira

Likeliness to Recommend

7 /10

What differentiates Confluence from other similar products?

Since its from Atlassian which already has a Jira for issue tracking and project management and is very popular especially for engineering teams and since it has nice integration with Jira and engineering team has lot of documents(design documents, notes, knowledge articles) to manage, which requires good RTE(rich text editor) and also works a lot with Jira, so it works great for the software teams to manage their project documents.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

In the document, you can easily collaborate also by commenting and resolving them, this is used by my team for the design document which goes through various edits based on the comments and suggestion by other team members.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Atlassian products search in general is not good, whether its searching for issues in Jira or searching for relevant document in Confluence, in jira, you can still use JQL and save it but Confluence is like a website and its full text search lots of time doesn't bring the fresh and relevant search results.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

if you are already using Jira than go for Confluence but if you are not using jira, have some comparison and ask other team members of other document management software and take their feedback before finalising anything as this is difficult to change later.

One of the best product to manage knowledge base

Likeliness to Recommend

10 /10

What differentiates Confluence from other similar products?

Confluence seamlessly integrates with other popular Atlassian tools like Jira, Trello, Bitbucket, and Confluence itself, creating a comprehensive ecosystem for project management, development, and collaboration.Confluence provides a user-friendly editor that allows users to create and edit content easily. It supports various content types such as text, images, videos, tables, files, and macros. Confluence offers a hierarchical organization structure through spaces, pages, and nested pages. Spaces act as containers for related content, and pages can be structured and organized within spaces.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Confluence is a very reliable and robust product for managing a knowledge base. I like the way it provides to manage documents and knowledge in a well-structured manner by providing spaces. I also like the way it provides flexibility to integrate it with JIRA and bit bucket.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I think confluence is a complete product for document management.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would highly recommend confluence to an organization that wants to maintain its knowledge base in the most efficient and well-structured way.
