Good project management tool, but has limitations

What differentiates Trello from other similar products?

I think the way that you can move around cards to show clear ownership is nice. Being completely honest, I don't have a lot of experiences using other tools to compare it to!

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The symbols showing hierarchy for sure. Like, the lieutenant symbol next to admins is very cool! And the ease of adding members, promoting, and managing who's connected is pretty unique in my experience.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Hmmmm, I don't really have a lot to say on this topic. My team doesn't really use this tool that often so it's really hard to say. We were using it at one point because one member of our team really like using it, but after they left, we kind of just went our own way.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I think this product fits a certain personality of a team. If your team requires organization and official to-do lists, then I would recommend this tool! Otherwise, more casual approaches to project and task management may be better.

Pros

  • Enables Productivity
  • Saves Time
  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing

What differentiates Trello from other similar products?

Trello is often compared to Airtable. And even though they seem to have similar features, I use them for different tasks. By using Trello to collect my projects and attach important documents/links to any cards, it makes it a bit more functional as a planner. The ease of use makes it valuable software for clients if they need to track the current state of their projects and any changes that are made. Also, the integration with the calendar is valuable, especially for the possibility to set reminders and daily tasks.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The ease of use and the Kanban style layout of the boards. Creating new boards for new projects makes it easy to keep track of all projects and documents needed.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Nothing much. It is very complete as it is.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Because Trello offers a free version, there is no real reason not to try it out for a month. It helps you to track your projects and content in a very visual way.

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing
  • Efficient Service

What differentiates Trello from other similar products?

Very simple to use, simple UI and UX. Great free tier, good for SMB's and for small startups. Good for independent contractors too.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Easy to create tasks, and clear goals and goal setting through lists, and basic integrations including slack, etc.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Not a lot of features, some competitors have significantly more features that include all of trellos functionality.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Trello is a solid first management tool for independent work, try it out in your daily life first, see if it's powerful enough to accommodate those needs, and then test on your business, see if a more niche solution might be a better fit.

  • Helps Innovate
  • Continually Improving Product
  • Reliable
