Likeliness to Recommend

10 /10

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

It is an enterprise level communication management tool easy to integrate and work with many applications! Good quality of audio and video conferencing! Secure data and file storage and retrieval. having a good storage capacity! All functionalities are integrated in a single video conferencing application which enables an enterprise to survive with a single application for multiple purposes

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Having a secure and good quality of video conferencing! Able to do instant messaging and facilities to enable raise hand options, mute and videos on and off functions during video conferencing!! Can easily access the peer’s screen if required!! It also works as a directory of employees within a single organization

What do you dislike most about this product?

Almost all the functionalities in teams are secure and good enough to handle multiple functions! Sometimes the web application consumes more time to load and work compared to desktop applications

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend microsoft teams for an organization who maintains necessary security and authenticity within the organization, employees and also for data storage and sharing! Best tool for remote work and communication! This application made everything simple and easy when it comes to work from home and communicate

Teleconferencing is great but the UI is unnatural.

Likeliness to Recommend

5 /10

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

It tries to do everything. In addition to teleconferencing, it basically has a built-in OneDrive, overly complicated message / chat UI.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The teleconferencing is great. The screen / audio quality are very good in meetings. Sharing screens works well.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The team messages are like thread-based but individual chats can be created and then it gets confusing because the file storage for an individual chat within a team is not the same as the team-level storage...or something like that. It was confusing. I used to use it every day and it made me do way to many clicks. What differentiates it is its awkwardness. I would love if it were just teleconferencing and simple chat and a more intuitive file-sharing.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Don't use it. Your organization probably already has their own established interfaces and workflows for sharing files on the cloud and working on them. It is better to get separate apps / services that are good at one or two things because that will make your workflow more efficient. For example, Zoom for teleconferencing, Slack for chat and quick file-sharing, and Google Drive, Docs, Slides, etc. are great for sharing documents and collaborating on them remotely. When all of this functionality is combined in one app, it feels clunky; the UI is awkward. You could spend all day organizing the teams and chats with links and integrations.

Pros

  • Unique Features
  • Respectful
  • Helps Innovate
  • Continually Improving Product

Cons

  • Less Performance Enhancing
  • Less Efficient Service
  • Less Effective Service

Important for Distant Workforces

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Microsoft Teams from other similar products?

Teams not just allows us to conduct group conferences, and internally and externally training sessions, but it also allows us to monitor who joins those conferences and for how long. I like being allowed to instantly and readily access "attendance" details. The connection with Outlook is excellent. We can also view our Outlook calendar using teams, allowing it simple to verify accessibility for organizing other sessions. Teams is an excellent solution for keeping groups linked via chat, video and audio conversations, meetings, and a file repository. It competes with Slack and might outperform it in an MS-based setting.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The most helpful feature of Teams is its automated interaction with other Microsoft products, like as Outlook, which allows Teams sessions to be scheduled directly from Outlook Scheduler. I'd also remark that it is positioned for significant development and has a great capacity to become significantly more effective. The Voice Calls function well, with no discernible background noise or sound lagging or pauses. Video Call goes well and has a high quality. There are other customization options, like changing the setting of the video meetings to a new environment. Teams is mostly used for video conferences and the chatting feature.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The worst part about Teams is that we can't give someone else the "ownership" of Teams events. So, if the host becomes unexpectedly absent, no one may host the meeting in their place. The User interface is not particularly clear and takes some getting accustomed to, also after a period, it's difficult to recall where everything is.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Give it your best shot at acclimating to it and discovering all of its functions. Conduct a few test conferences and events, and attempt to "break" something at times so you can fix it on the fly while you're online.
