You can have analytics and reports for business intelligence. With data connections, reports, dashboards and other BI material. You can modernize workflows, including everything from alerts and approvals to operational tasks, to increase efficiency.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like Microsoft SharePoint allows me to upload, edit and share documents. It's helpful for reviewing and troubleshooting if I can keep track of who edited previous versions of a document. I can receive a notification when changes are made, I can set alerts on a document library..

Technical knowledge is necessary for configuration and administration, which can be complicated.

It is difficult to search the file using a wildcard character or file size; searching with * yields erroneous results; and page navigation takes some time. The downside of utilizing SharePoint is that links may only be shared with personnel within the same organization; sharing a file with someone outside the business is not feasible. They may enhance the alert/notification functions and include more plugins.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Microsoft SharePoint enables role-based access, which adds an extra degree of protection to the system; moreover, the auditing tool prevents any abnormality from being undetected.
