What differentiates Dayforce from other similar products?

When managing the complex payroll needs of an IT agency, Dayforce feels like a safety net that catches everything. It doesn’t just handle payroll—it integrates it with human capital management (HCM) to a seamless experience. For an industry where people are as much the product as the technology itself, having such an interconnected tool is invaluable.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Its ability to process payroll in real-time is a lifesaver. Unlike platforms that rely on batch processing, Dayforce allows us to preview pay runs as we go. This has been especially helpful during project-based bonus calculations, which often come with last-minute adjustments. For example, during a major project handoff, we were able to add completion bonuses without delaying the payroll cycle.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I have nothing against Dayforce.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Dayforce has drastically improved our payroll accuracy and compliance tracking, especially with our globally dispersed teams. It ensures we’re always ahead of changing regulations, which is a relief given the IT industry’s ever-evolving compliance demands. Plus, our employees love the self-service portal—it’s intuitive and empowers them to manage their own schedules, time-off requests, and even view pay stubs in real-time.

What differentiates Dayforce from other similar products?

The way it integrates payroll, time tracking, and workforce management into one seamless system, that would have to be the one. Most HR platforms only handle parts of this puzzle, but Dayforce brings it all under one roof.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The scheduling feature is. I’ve used it to manage campaigns that require odd hours, and it saved so much time juggling between spreadsheets and requests.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The mobile app could use a lot of improvement. Approving time-off requests or checking payroll adjustments on the go feels sluggish and unintuitive, especially during busy seasons.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Speaking from an experienced user’s point of view, first get it if you have complex workforce management needs, then invest in training your team to make full use of its automation—it’s a game-changer but requires some effort upfront
