What differentiates ActiveCampaign from other similar products?

The drag-and-drop interface makes building flows easy, even for those new to marketing automation. Segmenting contacts by behaviors and attributes is easy. This enables me to personalize the customer experience and move people smoothly through my sales funnels. I am also impressed with its seamless integration with other tools. The ability to sync contacts and share data across platforms saves me valuable time. This has helped me optimize my campaigns and continuously refine my approach.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Coordinating numerous tasks like email campaigns, social media engagement, and lead generation can feel overwhelming. That's why I rely on ActiveCampaign to streamline my workflow. ActiveCampaign is intuitive automation software that allows me to create targeted journeys, guiding customers from initial outreach to purchase. I appreciate how ActiveCampaign empowers me to be strategic instead of reactive by automating repetitive tasks. This gives me more time to focus on higher-level strategy. The detailed reporting also provides invaluable insights into what's working well and what needs improvement.

What do you dislike most about this product?

However, more advanced workflows require coding knowledge of ActiveCampaign's API. Despite this limitation, the visual editor is robust enough for the majority of tasks. The ability it provides to scale efforts and propel actual business growth outweighs any drawbacks.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Overall, ActiveCampaign offers an elegant automation solution for marketers at any level. By streamlining processes and personalizing engagement, it keeps customers in focus and helps them move towards making a purchase. The time savings and actionable analytics have proven to be hugely beneficial for my business.

Cost was a factor, it's less expensive than HubSpot.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Email automations for new contacts allows them to get more information from us with no manual intervention.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Active Campaign has an extremely fragile design in their automations which caused my company to lose $10,000's in potential revenue. I created an online form, which website visiters can fill out to get more information (or a trial) from our company. This is a major source of high quality customer leads. By simply making a slight change of wording to a form option , the entire automation broke, which we did not realize for 6+ months. There was no warning and nothing in the user guide indicating a problem. Companies were requesting information from us and we were never notified because of the broken automation.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I can no longer recommend AC because of the fragile design. If you are a small business relying on email automations, you are taking a risk with Active Campaign. The lost revenue due to AC would have easily paid for a competitor like Hub Spot. The pipeline feature is not very user friendly, and if you expect people to be in the system regularly, the slowness will frustrate user adoption. Be careful.
