What differentiates Webroot Business Endpoint Protection from other similar products?
Webroot Business Endpoint Protection has a lightweight platform that is powered by cloud-based technology for rapid threat scanning. Webroot, unlike regular antivirus software that uses a lot of the system resources, does not slow down your devices at all which makes it a perfect solution for organizations who need to get up and running quickly. With this cloud-first strategy, updates can be delivered quickly and threat information can be updated in real time, so endpoints are never vulnerable to new threats.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite part about Webroot Business Endpoint Protection is its speed of installation and ease of use. The solution is cloud-based so you don’t have to think about all the technical configurations and big IT efforts required to quickly get it out to multiple devices. This can come in handy especially if your company has a small IT team or a high growth rate. It also has a very simple UI, which allows administrators to easily manage endpoints, check security, and escalate incidents.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Webroot Business Endpoint Protection offline support is one area where I am not a fan. The software is excellent for threat surveillance and management from the cloud, but it may fail when devices are offline or there are intermittent connectivity issues. When that happens, the lack of local threat detection can expose endpoints until they’re reconnected to the internet and potentially put organizations at risk during critical periods of downtime.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
As a business looking to take Webroot Business Endpoint Protection, I recommend you look at your company’s security requirements and architecture before purchasing. It is especially ideal for organizations looking for a light endpoint protection solution without compromising performance. If your company is an enterprise where you’re working at lightning speed and rely on being fast, Webroot might be a good match for you.
