Threatlocker is a critical piece of our stack

Likeliness to Recommend

10 /10

What differentiates ThreatLocker from other similar products?

It's a number of things, but if I had to choose one, it would really be the support we receive. The support we have received from Threatlocker when we have an issue or question is second to none.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Application whitelisting, Network Control, Storage Control

What do you dislike most about this product?

ease of updates for third-party software. This can be frustrating to work with software that "auto updates" without warning.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It's a dance. You will step on each other's toes for a while. It is critical to have a proper learning period for new implementations.

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Continually Improving Product
  • Reliable
  • Trustworthy

With Threat Locker, we can sleep good again!

Likeliness to Recommend

10 /10

What differentiates ThreatLocker from other similar products?

24x7 SOC, quick and easy to get support, training is thorough, and everyone understands exactly what we have to go through with clients and end-users.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The support we get - it's like having security staff

What do you dislike most about this product?

The licensing... I wish we could use what we need, per month, and not be tied to a contract for only one type of licensing across the board. If I had the ability to just add some basic modules for cheaper clients, I'd actually end up buying more licensing - but at least on my side, it'd be easier to sell.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

You'll need the 24x7 SOC and support so you can sleep at night - but dedicate the time to learning each module and setting yourself up for success so it's not disruptive, and instead, it becomes profitable.

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Enables Productivity
  • Trustworthy
  • Effective Service

Cons

  • Less Performance Enhancing
  • Vendor's Interest First
  • Less Friendly Negotiation

Efficient and effective tool.

Likeliness to Recommend

8 /10

What differentiates ThreatLocker from other similar products?

The default block ability has allowed us to get a good handle on applications when deployed into a fully running environment. We needed a tool that could help secure information today not a year from now when we finally got an idea what was there, and the default no makes sure we can keep a good tally on actual usage, and monitoring of devices.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The overall time savings and efficiency of the product. Having threatlokcer deployed adds a level of clarity to the environment as well as peace of mind, allowing a small team to effectively manage the overall security posture and respond to threats efficiently.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The initial setup is difficult and can be a bit painful for users. But the vendor support is great and they help you through.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Be ready for some pushback because it is a change in thought process not just a tool. But its worth it and will make the environment far better.

Pros

  • Reliable
  • Trustworthy
  • Unique Features
