What differentiates Talkwalker from other similar products?

It does the core functions of its offer really, really well. The rate of innovation is startling - of course you can send requests and product development ideas to them for consideration (and they do actually consider them) but every quarter they release a raft of new and improved features that are of exceptional quality and very well thought out. This forward thinking attitude is a real gamechanger. They provide you with a robust tool that is constantly evolving, to give you the latest cutting edge tech and solutions to help you with your research questions.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Honestly I can't name just one, there are too many! It is very robust - in the 7 years we've used it, we've had less than an hour of downtime in total. The visualisations are clear and intuitive. Navigation is also intuitive and easy. Features within each segment of the tool are packed with interesting widgets, data points and analyses. This can appear overwhelming at first but eventually this mass of analysis functionality is actually a huge advantage to help you tweak your data sets to get the exact answers you need.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Three things: The archive of social content is for me the main drawback. On social channels such as Facebook and Instagram you can (in almost all instances) only secure 30 days of back data, so running useful historical searches for trend analysis is almost impossible. The demographics data offered in the tool is for me the weakest aspect. This could be an outstanding function to give users greater insights into audiences and segmentation but frankly it's very poor, and not entirely accurate for what you do have (in my opinion). Influencer identification (a must-have for many social tools) is also not the best.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

As with all evaluations for products such as this, do your homework and make a checklist of must-haves, nice-to-haves etc as this tool is so full of features you may actually be buying into more than you actually need. That said, if you need to buy in to the full functionality you will not be disappointed!

What differentiates Talkwalker from other similar products?

Talkwalker has provided us with a more practical and effective way to track the social networks of my organization and our clients; at the same time, it has offered good analysis metrics to perform multiple measurements and diagnostics of the day to day social networks, interaction with users and locate factors to take into account in decision making regarding digital marketing. The tool is highly customizable, which is extremely useful, we have adapted it to our requirements, and the adoption has been much faster.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

We use Talkwalker to monitor various social networks, extract data coming from them and generate reports. Since its acquisition, it has played an essential role in the marketing strategies we have been executing. One feature I like so much about this tool is its customizability, and its analytics function is much more accurate than other tools we have used in the past. Talkwalker also has a helpful feature to send emails to users and good filters to make the data much more targeted and accurate.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The tagging does not update in real-time; it sometimes takes longer than expected and has a bit of a steep learning curve at first.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Talkwalker is one of the most effective social media tracking tools; it connects to various platforms and unveils valuable data to measure activity and user interaction and devise new digital marketing strategies. Today, it is one of the tools I recommend the most.
