A DLP program called McAfee DLP Endpoint uses virtual processes and controls to guard against the unplanned loss of financial or intellectual property information. The Inventory phase has search capabilities for databases, cloud services, and files. Using OCR, it can also read through photographs, screenshots, and forms as well as images of documents.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The discovery scan locates all data, classifies those occurrences, and determines whether data is critical and must be protected. The discoverer will then assign a level of protection based on the sensitivity of each piece of data and grade it accordingly. Isn't knowing that so satisfying? Additionally, it runs a continuous cycle of automated search and categorization.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Beginners may find it a little challenging to configure, and because the solution is expensive, smaller firms may not be able to use it. Due to its high cost, even the majority of businesses choose to choose an alternative product with lower costs.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
The sensitive data from the Discover module is subject to the security policies and access controls that you configure in the dashboard. This system keeps track of all applications used for data transportation launched from endpoints, such as email and messaging services. The module also includes monitoring capabilities for cloud server-based apps that access the data.
