Solid Payroll and Benefits Management
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Oracle PeopleSoft HCM from other similar products?
Oracle PeopleSoft HCM stands out because it lets companies customize it to fit their needs, especially for payroll, benefits, and compliance. Unlike many HR tools that only work in the cloud, it gives businesses the choice to keep their data on their own servers or use the cloud. It also connects well with other Oracle systems, making it easier to manage HR, finance, and operations in one place. Plus, it has automation and self-service features to simplify HR tasks, though it does require experienced users to set it up and manage effectively.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I like most about Oracle PeopleSoft HCM is how flexible and powerful it is. Businesses can customize it to fit their needs, automate HR tasks, and manage payroll and benefits with great accuracy. The reporting tools help HR teams make smarter decisions based on data. Plus, it works well with other Oracle systems, making it easier to manage different parts of the business in one place, which is especially useful for large companies.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The biggest downside of Oracle PeopleSoft HCM is that it can be complicated to use. It has powerful features but setting it up and managing it properly requires experienced users. The design feels a bit outdated compared to newer HR tools, making some tasks harder than they should be. Also, making changes or upgrades can take a lot of time and money, especially for businesses with special needs. While it works well, a simpler and more modern experience would make it even better.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Oracle PeopleSoft HCM is a good choice for businesses that need a highly customizable HR system, but it works best for larger companies with a team that can manage its complexity. Before choosing it, make sure you have people who can handle setup, updates, and integrations. It’s great for payroll, benefits, and compliance, but the system can feel a bit outdated compared to newer HR tools. If you need a flexible and powerful system, it is a solid option but make sure your team is ready to handle it.

Best and high features but but pricey.

What differentiates Oracle PeopleSoft HCM from other similar products?
Zoho people suited for small to medium sized businesses that need cloud based, user friendly HR management. Whereas Oracle PeopleSoft HVM primarily targeted at large enterprises snd government organisation with complex HR processes and global operation. Zoho ideal for organisation looking for cost effective, scalable etc., However Oracle suited for companies that require extensive customisation, advanced features and the ability. Zoho completely cloud based and Oracle traditionally on premises. Zoho has strong mobile app for employees and managers to access HR features. Oracle supports mobile features but is often more complex.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
It is highly configurable and it has ability to be deeply customised to meet the specific needs of an organisation. PeopleSoft is highly scalable and can handle large volumes of data, making it a preferred solution. it has ability to manage a global workspace. It covers full spectrum of HR functions, from core HR, payroll, etc. Its global payroll and time and labour modules are some of the sophisticated in the industry. It integrates well with other oracle enterprise system. It also supports integration with third party system via middleware, API’s and web services.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Difficult to learn its extensive feature set and this also makes the system complex to learn and use, especially those in similar or less complex organisation the system can feel like overkill for simple HR tasks. User interface has long been criticised as being outdated. Navigating the system requires too many steps or clicks. It is being costly to license, particularly for smaller organisation. The pricing structures can be complex. Beyond licensing fees, implementation and ongoing maintenance can be expensive. Sometimes it is being difficult to upgrade.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I will recommend this only for the large scale industries with multiple HR tasks and MNC’s. The cost is high so it is recommend for the organisation with high budgets. It is highly recommend for the HR people with high product knowledge and expertise. It is suitable for Governments sectors, higher education institution coz it has a long history of being used in the public sectors. It tailored meet the unique regulatory, compliance and so on. Companies that need to customise HR workflows, process and reporting is preferable.
