What differentiates Oracle Field Service from other similar products?

The Oracle Field services is a global system - it can be used in China, Europe, Australia, LATAM and USA and end users can equally work out how to use it. In that Oracle FS is excellent. If you want one unified product that you can save costs on with standard ways of working, processes, procedures and reporting then go for this.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The business results - we have great data on what our global operations work on and are scheduled to do. We also have saved by having one tool, one set of processes and training program. Oracle also has great training, much of it free, that supports smaller businesses and users, which is great. Field Services also supports most languages.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It is not the most robust product at times as users complained of laggy interfaces where they would type and nothing shows for some time. We tried upgrading the WAN but found it was the ERP system and Field Service itself that has global issues. Not great but does not happen that often.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It is intuitive over time, there are a lot of support tools out there, so implementing it is very easy. You want end users to adopt Field Service so make sure that any tool that you look for is intuitive and easy to support, adopt and implement.
