What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?

It is useful for document management and document history maintenance since it allows you to see who is working on what and what fields they are altering in the case of an Excel file. SharePoint makes it simple to collaborate on document modification with other team members. For the past four years, I've been using this platform to exchange and save data. One of the key reasons for utilizing Sharepoint is its connection with other Microsoft 365 applications, which makes it an integral element of this ecosystem.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

One of the most valuable features of SharePoint is the ability for different IT groups (developers, QA, and business) to cooperate in order to exchange ideas, documents, and vital information. Version control, document check-out and check-in, as well as access-related push notifications, are all critical. SharePoint allows you to upload and update files, and the URL may be shared with the team so that everyone has access to it. One of the finest features of Sharepoint is the protection of my data, and because I can create an area for my data and grant and restrict access to other people, it is extremely well connected with other apps such as

What do you dislike most about this product?

It is difficult to search the file using a wildcard character or file size; searching with * yields erroneous results; and page navigation takes some time. The downside of utilizing SharePoint is that links may only be shared with personnel within the same organization; sharing a file with someone outside the business is not feasible. They may enhance the alert/notification functions and include more plugins.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Microsoft SharePoint enables role-based access, which adds an extra degree of protection to the system; moreover, the auditing tool prevents any abnormality from being undetected. It is readily connected with the many platforms that we use in my company, which simplifies my job. For example, when exchanging work files with my colleagues, I merely need to send the URL using SharePoint.

What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?

Microsoft Sharepoint is a shared space that allows customization, and flexibility for shared files in one place upon peers and the company itself.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite is how easy it is to view shared documents from one note, teams, notes, and much more. Sometimes files get lost or deleted, but with SharePoint being a virtual cloud its easy to search, see when the file was last updated, and much more. I love the concept of certain documents being private, and requiring access so everything isn't out in the public.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Although this would not make a difference in terms of efficiency and productivity I wish that it was a bit more customizable in terms of the theme or being able to set up your homepage instead of the generic page and its customization.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It's an amazing software if you would like to keep your peer, team, or employees up to date. You could even use this outside of work as well. If you're considering this and possibly working from home this would be ideal, since it's through the cloud and easily accessible for everyone. You're able to organize files, videos, and information to improve productivity and you could even use it as a FAQ or knowledge base.
