I wish the landing page was more customizable.

If you can afford it, go for it.

What differentiates Microsoft Sharepoint from other similar products?

Like all MS products, the ability for sharepoint to work well with our other MS applications (Dynamics, Office, etc) is key, since we're uploading and sharing from those sources. The ease of use is fantastic, and ability to access from anywhere is awesome.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Access from anywhere and editing that updates in real time are quite nice. We sometimes have 4-5 people editing a document at the same time which saves time and improves our teamwork.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Sometimes (mainly is Word more than anything), the formatting is not the same as when using the same application on my computer. Not sure why, or if I'm missing a trick or something, but that can be frustrating.

Dive in if you're a microsoft user! Just double check your work to make sure the formatting is lined up.

Its version control and workflow automation features make it indispensable for large organizations, providing a centralized platform for data sharing, project management, and communication across teams while maintaining enterprise-level security.

What do you dislike most about this product?

SharePoint’s biggest downside is its complexity, especially for users without technical experience. Customization often requires coding or extensive knowledge of the platform, and the user interface can feel dated compared to more modern tools. Additionally, it lacks intuitive design capabilities, making it harder for non-developers to create visually appealing or fully functional sites without additional training.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

For organizations already using Microsoft 365, SharePoint is a powerful solution for document management, collaboration, and intranet development. It's ideal for large teams needing a secure platform for information sharing and workflow automation. However, if you're not already in the Microsoft ecosystem or need simpler, more user-friendly platforms, SharePoint’s learning curve might be steep, and other tools may be more suitable.
