What differentiates Microsoft Defender for Endpoint from other similar products?

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I think it's cool Improved and updated frequently. Highly valued and implemented customer input Microsoft uses ML to further fine-tune MDE by analyzing billions of signals every day to detect attacks against O365 tenants. How many other ML solutions will be able to analyze as much data to train their models? A graphical timeline of the path the threat took to enter the device and be halted, as well as automated detection and repair of threats.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Depending on the OS version, some features may not yet be available, while others may be in the works. Group policy (or MDM) is now used to govern the Windows operating system, however this is being actively reworked Using Microsoft Intune, they just made it easier to onboard macOS endpoints by distributing it as an app.. Setting up configuration profiles used to take a lot longer. For older versions of macOS Sierra that still use the older extensions, on-boarding to MDE will still necessitate many stages.

MDE can assist both small and large enterprises. In order for Microsoft 365 E5 to include MDE as a standard feature, it needs to be sold separately. While scanning for vulnerabilities, I wish it could automatically push out patches to third-party programs when a vulnerability was found. Please give it a shot! Administrative costs are extremely cheap.

It is very intuitive to the extent that it is capable of assessing how secure our network is and it can even pinpoint unprotected systems and ways to improve the security through the Microsoft Secure Score for Devices feature.

It is a bit expensive in terms of the implementation process and also the maintenance phase is very complex.

I would recommend anyone considering this product, seek third-party expertise when it comes to the implementation and maintenance process because it can be very complex.

Microsoft defender for endpoint presents us with out and out visibility into attacks. This visibility help ensure automated security operations. With Microsoft defender, we are able to detect attackers immediately and the possibility of them to operate unseen is minimal

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Microsoft defender for endpoint identifies and stops malware immediately. We always have an upper hand over the latest treats. I like how advanced attacks can be detected in real time. We are also able to sequence alerts effectively, and have a full view of the breach and take actions to solve the malware.

What do you dislike most about this product?

MDE works well most times except for the few cases of false positives we have had.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It is the best solution for sophisticated threats it is amazing for real time threat detection. It has powerful capabilities to resolve threats in the early stages of attacks before they cause any major effect on the systems. for the few successful attacks on our systems, Microsoft defender for endpoint has greatly minimized their impact.
