Easy to use The Azure Data Catalog is easy to set up and use, and it has good customer support. Centralized knowledge sharing The Azure Data Catalog provides a central place for users to contribute knowledge and insights about data sources. Built-in security and compliance Azure has more certifications than any other cloud provider, and it invests heavily in cybersecurity research and development.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Limited integration with non-Azure services: While Azure Data Factory Pipeline provides integration with various Azure services, it has limited support for non-Azure services. Limited debugging capabilities: Debugging Azure Data Factory Pipeline can be challenging.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Migrate to Microsoft Purview: Microsoft recommends migrating to Microsoft Purview before the retirement of Azure Data Catalog on May 15, 2024. Purview is a governance platform for data security that can help you manage and govern data across environments. Use data stewards and data product owners: Assign data stewards and data product owners to governance domains. They can develop a glossary and data products that align with current practices.
