What differentiates Hotjar from other similar products?

Hotjar teaches us things that we wouldn't otherwise be able to learn. We take notes during sessions, analyze interactions, search for obstacles, and gather information to enhance the user interface and user experience of our product. Additionally, their survey tool is fantastic since it enables us to collect a ton of user feedback.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I like it since it's easy to build up user surveys or polls to enhance the website. Moreover, Hotjar makes it simple and quick to export heatmaps (I used heatmaps the most). We can use the amazing information it gives us about user behavior to change our website and significantly boost our conversion rate. They also provide a ton of information in their accompanying papers.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Overall, I've had a positive experience using Hotjar; I can't think of anything I don't like about it right now. However, depending on the platform you built your site on, enabling Hotjar can slow down site speed, which can cause issues with the core functional elements of the web. Putting this issue aside, the user experience has been flawless.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

You must start with something basic and straightforward like Hotjar in order to comprehend your customers' online behaviors and interactions. Website statistics and user feedback are available. Blogs, e-commerce sites, software firms, and advertising agencies may all benefit from using Hotjar. All digital marketers should use this tool, we suggest, make sure the installation is handled by the appropriate web team.

Easy to use, slightly too little features

What differentiates Hotjar from other similar products?

It's easy to set up a short survey and recruit participants on a specific site. You can add your events for better targeting your participants.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I don't need much of a technical skills to be able to launch a pop-up survey and decide, where, when and how it should display. You can choose a certain page (giving the url or part of it, or excluding some sites etc.), certain device, certain user behaviour - and all this using a simple dashboard. Incoming feedback option lets you receive opinions on certain features of the site on a rolling basis.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I'd like to see more question types, more advanced logic and better reports. For now you can ask 9 basic types of questions, and setting a logic is painful and limited. The reports available now are not customisable, you can just see questions one by one, but you can't cross one question with another, or filter, or see results for segments based on the answers for certain question, or even export the results as pdf.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you need to ask simple questions to your website visitors, HotJar is for you.
