What differentiates Google Ad Manager from other similar products?

We use Google Ads to improve our search engine ranking for both brand and non-brand keywords through search ads. Previously, we used to spend a significant amount of time and effort on adding and excluding search terms using tools like keyword planner and analytics. However, Google now provides suggestions for both broad and specific keyword addition and negation, which has reduced our workload considerably. We have achieved significant scale and satisfactory results through Display, Search, and App campaigns. Currently, Google accounts for almost 40% of our media spends.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I have found that Google Ads provide great scale for our campaigns without significantly increasing our cost per acquisition. As a consistent user of Google Ads for over four years, I am always impressed with the new features and functions they add that make campaign optimization easier. Initially, we experimented with various audience types like in-market and affinity, but we found that Performance campaigns yielded amazing results with minimal manual input.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Campaign setup and reporting can be difficult for those who are new to it. Another major issue is overspending, which occurs when the campaign budget is exhausted within a few hours due to a higher bidding rate than the auction.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Google Ad Manager is a potent and efficient platform for managing ad inventory, mainly for publishers with significant traffic and technical expertise to use it effectively. However, it is crucial to consider your needs and budget carefully before making a decision.

If someone is considering using Google ads manager then I would recommend to clearly define advertising goals and thoroughly research target audience and leverage the platform's advanced targeting options to reach the right audience based on demographics interests, and online behaviour.
