What differentiates Epic from other similar products?

There is a tremendous amount of functionality and ability to check various parts of the medical record. It can be set up with drop-down menus that provide frequently used choices in the record. There is the ability to create personalized phrases one can push into a clinical note.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Epic is a secure way to access information from a patient's chart.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It seems clean, organized and user friendly at face, however, the excessive clicks needed to navigate, the constant updates that change layout and function, and lack of certain functions that you would think should be an integral part make EPIC frustrating.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Keep up with learning the new updates.

What differentiates Epic from other similar products?

Epic, the software, makes sure that your implementation succeeds, stays stable and reliable, and performs fast. They (Epic) perpetually monitor performance, DR/BC availability, and uptime and tell you *exactly* how you ought to configure your environment. You are fully not on your own with Epic.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It is straightforward to use, once you get the suitable coaching and practice. I favor that’s a good investigative tool to search for timelines within the past. It’s the one-stop shop for all patients' complete history, and it is interchangeable with different establishments with similar software. Great security features and history of patient profile. Patient connected via MyChart gets a sense of autonomy to manage appointments, communicate with the aid team and review medical notes. I like using this software system as the roadmap for the whole healthcare institution.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The flip side to the Epic company being so concerned in your setup and operation is that it takes plenty of internal staff to form it happen in Epic’s prescribed way, and there’s a lot of internal worker involvement in setup, testing, and in-progress maintenance. In other words, Epic needs a lot of TLC, however, it’s very stable and reliable.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I suggest this software as it is a much additional advanced EMR than several of the others out there and has such a lot of potential to make the day-to-day easier. It also has an excellent response team for your help as early as possible.
