Pricey product, but well worth the dollars

What differentiates Cornerstone LMS from other similar products?
I have not experienced other LMSs honestly, but from what I have learned in my years using it, the breadth of possibility and level of customization is king.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The ability to customize, by far. Custom pages in the system, login pages, headers to pages, etc. Being able to brand the system (which functions beautifully) for our culture is a huge benefit.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Some processes can be very "steppy" to create, but it functions well.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Take your time testing to get familiar, and take advantage of the testing environments.
Pros
- Reliable
- Respectful
- Security Protects
- Helps Innovate
Cons
- Under Delivered

Great support and majority of expected features
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Cornerstone LMS from other similar products?
Accessible support team Quarterly releases - continuous improvement Efficient interaction between modules (Training / recruitment)
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Stable product with meets majority of our requirements. No need to be continously on the reconfiguration of the system and system still efficient after 10 years of use
What do you dislike most about this product?
Some features needs to be update to limit administrative action. Some pages are old fashion and required lots of clicks Very good end user experience (attendees) but for 1 or 2 features, need Manuel input from training department
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Define your requirement in detail and think how you will manage the system after implementation phase. Invest time to train your team on the tool as lots of features can be managed by yourself
Pros
- Trustworthy
- Respectful
- Fair
- Acts with Integrity

Good, full-featured LMS with some clunky elements
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Cornerstone LMS from other similar products?
It's fairly robust, with a pretty large feature set for both admins and learners.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I like that it has quite a few features to it that can help with both asynchronous and IL training. Publishing a new e-course isn't too onerous and the search features work well for learners. I like that it supports all of the standards from AICC all the way up to xAPI. The playlist feature is helpful and I like that managers can assign learning to their reports. Also, learners receive customized suggestions for additional learning they might be interested in, based on assets they've used already. The curriculum feature is very helpful, too. (Any opinions expressed here are solely my own and are not made on behalf of my company.)
What do you dislike most about this product?
First, if you make almost any kind of change to an e-course, requiring you to "reversion" it, it changes the ID that's used to identify the course, so you then have to go and update any deep links you may have to the course elsewhere (and existing bookmarks to that e-course won't work either). Second, reporting is very clunky & confusing. Standard reports are confusingly named and don't show some of what you would expect them to and creating a custom report is complex & confusing. Third, they only allow one or two people in org to call in for support. (Any opinions expressed here are solely my own and are not made on behalf of my company.)
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Be prepared for a big implementation process. If you're company isn't super concerned with financial and IT security issues, there are other LMSs that may be better and a better value. However, this is a very good product for a conservative company looking for a pretty robust LMS that will do pretty much everything that an LMS should (although nothing super innovative). When we were implementing it and getting our training (pre-pandemic). Cornerstone didn't really know how to include remote attendees, but I'm guessing that they've had to solve that problem by now!
Pros
- Security Protects
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity
Cons
- Commodity Features
- Charges for Enhancements
