No more errors with Azure DevOps

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Azure DevOps from other similar products?

We use this software in almost all departments, because it allows us to test the different projects we design. It allows us to visualize in a clear way, the errors and failures that we may have, through the tests that we perform with its different tools. It also has a complete problem manager, which helps us to be focused on the errors presented, to correct them without delay.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

It allows us to track hours and expenses, to know how much time is invested in each project, avoiding loss of money, talent effort and much more. It also allows us to assign the different problems to the team working on the project, to solve them efficiently and on time. It also allows us to track the status of the applications and the different projects, to know that they are working correctly at all times.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The interface could be a little easier to use, as many tools and functions are difficult to find. We have had some errors in the system, which has forced us to ask for help from technical support and we have not been able to find the solution with them. Sometimes the tool feels heavy and it is difficult to detect errors and problems in time.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Azure DevOps is great if you use the entire Microsoft Azure stack. It's fully integrated into Azure, so you can do most of what you need to do with just a few clicks. If you're new to Azure, make sure you get some outside expertise to help you; otherwise, it's easy to overcomplicate things and take the wrong path, or create things manually.

End to End management of software dev in Agile!

Likeliness to Recommend

8 /10

What differentiates Azure DevOps from other similar products?

The easy link with planning with User Stories, tracking the progress and then seeing the application deployment progress using the Continuous Integration/Deployment CI/CD platform. This greatly supports Kubernetes at my organisation as we have multiple developers bundling application packages for deployment which runs in our Azure cloud

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

In my role, the agile planning is the most favourable aspect as I can manage multiple backlogs and track these work items with my developers. The drag and drop function is great as it takes all associated features, epics, User Stories and tasks etc with it. We use this tool to collaborate on the development and our application support team have awareness which is fully documented. This is good for Development of software products and I can easily use the estimation tool of my choice which I just need to set up once and I can use on all Sprint Planning!

What do you dislike most about this product?

Not having the ability to do a simple click Copy & Paste of User Stories because sometimes the requirements are the same with slight changes to content and I am having to create a User Story and THEN copying the contents from the other and pasting into the new!

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you are a Microsoft using organisation WITH Azure Cloud then consider this as the ease to implement with existing applications is easier, other than this, there are some other good ones on the market but our choice is purely on the fact that we have everything Microsoft!

Pros

  • Helps Innovate
  • Enables Productivity
  • Saves Time
  • Respectful

Cons

  • Less Performance Enhancing
  • Commodity Features
  • Less Inspiring
