What differentiates AWS Systems Manager from other similar products?

There is no other way to connect to an ec2 server if we loose the pem file but we can connect via aws ssm.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

We can do patching of the linux servers , run automation scripts , run cron jobs via single click.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Not a dislike but yeah they should be having a functionality to connect in console also.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Strongly recommended for automations AWS SSM

What differentiates AWS Systems Manager from other similar products?

It helps DevOps engineers investigate and remediate issues with their AWS resources. Sometimes we need to install a few packages on multiple instances with the help of AWS Systems Manager with a single click.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

single window for installing packages on multiple instances.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Sometimes SSM agents need to install with the latest version.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you need Operations and node management then this is the best choice.

What differentiates AWS Systems Manager from other similar products?

AWS SSM we have been using on daily basis , it is just fantastic for taking ssh to the ec2 machines incase if you dont have the public key for the ec2 server. We have been doing most of the patching activity using aws ssm on all our ec2s.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

One of the best like about this feature is we can easily run automation scripts all over our ec2 in single clicks like deploying nginx over all our machines.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It only works if we have aws ssm agent installed on the ec2 , i feel this dependency should be removed. It should come as inbuilt aws amis.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would strongly recommend aws ssm for automations , patching activity & many more.
