Making projects management easy with Asana
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Asana from other similar products?
Asana is a free-to-use tool with simplified solutions and project management. It works great with team management and collaboration. Asana is great for task assigning and adding different teams to work on projects. Working with Asana makes it easier to organize sheets and data on task lists as compared to other platforms. It is much simpler and easy to manage through apps and browser access. Of course, a great feature is an app built in Slack and Teams.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite aspect of Asana is to create tasks on the web browser version, add relevant guides, files, assign them to the team and then manage it through App. Asana is also handy to manage it through the Email alerts on deadlines and through Microsoft Team and Slack.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Not all the features of Asana are available in the free version. Asana calendar integrations are limited and don't work in full potential with Google Calendar and outlook
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Asana is a great tool for startups and professionals working on assigning team tasks, managing tasks to-do lists, and calendar integrations.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing

Stands Out In a Sea of Competition - Low Cost
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Asana from other similar products?
Asana has a sea of competition - it seems that there are dozens of similar tools that offer something similar. Asana though has the best cost to benefit ratio in my opinion. It is also well known internationally as well, I have come to find. We recently hired ~15 international staff and nearly every member already knew about Asana and could easily track their progress & tasks without training.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Asana is highly user-friendly, and can serve as a "team hub" or "company hub" for all of the most important functions. With these types of tools, I find it extremely critical that it does not take more time to manage tasks and keep everything updates than to just do the work and keep a basic list elsewhere. Asana makes it very quick and snappy to build a calendar, tasks, and assign things out. We use the different views (kanban, calendar, tree, etc.) to visualize things during our weekly team meeting and it has allowed us to very quickly review the most important priorities for the week ahead. The cost is very cheap for this tool.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The mobile app version (Android in my case) is lacking some features and I don't particularly enjoy using it. That said, most of the time I am already at my computer anyway and can easily work in the desktop version.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
The "free" version of Asana is surprisingly robust - I would recommend performing a pilot with a small group of 5 or so users to test the waters and determine if the interface and features fit your business needs. Personally, I find using more than 1 of these types of software highly exhausting, so making sure this works for your business will avoid duplication of work and/or having to maintain more than 1 platform.
Pros
- Effective Service
- Over Delivered
- Security Protects
- Helps Innovate
