The Appium can work with a variety of languages like Java, kotlin, and python C#. It integrates well with mobile native as well as a hybrid app. Integration with the CI/CD platform especially Jenkins is easy through a plug-in and we don't need another Appium server ( in simple terms language its tool agnostic). Appium is based on Selenium which is HTTP-based and designed to automate apps. The idea is actually very nice as automating an app, especially a review-based one isn't so different in terms of required APIs from automating a browser. Easy to understand & documentation on the website is very clearly written.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The great thing to consider about Appium is that it has no dependency on the OS of the mobile (Android or IOS).Works well with both OS platforms. Only the same API needs to be integrated. It is designed to be programmable and used with any language such as Java, Python, Ruby, and C++. Appium is a great tool source that allows the user to save a lot of time using automation compared to the manual testing effort. It has good web-driver compatibility. Selenium web driver is the best integrated as a web driver to connect the appium. Many different frameworks are there for the testing mobile platform but I found Appium cost-free and best.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Element browsing is not reliable as it creates many errors and is hard to find and solve. Need some upgrades for the same. Sometimes runs too slow compared to the other software and the support documentation needs a lot of improvement to understand rather than depending more on the support team. Sometimes application crashes due to Appium backward compatibility issues. Executors would have to wait for a longer time for the execution processor to get result.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I suggest just going for it, as the Appium tool is an excellent open-source, that helps us in automating the applications that can vary between native, hybrid, or mobile web applications. It also has the flexibility to check the performance of any app and suggest to us, that we can integrate it with any other platform. Also, it supports a number of languages C++,Python, Java.For mobile testing automation, it's really good software to go with without any second thoughts.I have worked on Appium for years now and found it a pretty straightforward tool to use, if you are looking for multiple languages support and cross-platform test cases.

Appium is a good tool to execute test scripts, no need to include any additional agents to make appium compatible for automation. Best part is, it is a open source tool which supports cross platform testing with support of multiple languages such as java, python etc. There are lot of community forums as well where one can get help from, support both iOS and Android platform.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Appium is very helpful while automating mobile web, hybrid applications on iOS and native platforms. Benefits like, we don't have to compile and modify the applications each time during automation. There is no restriction to any language and framework for writing and running the test cases. One can choose its own port where he wants to start the server for testing.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Processing speed is very slow, executors have to wait for longer time for execution process or to get result. Also, sometimes it can be difficult to implement or to execute multiple frameworks on different version of mobile OS.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Appium is very light weight and user friendly application for mobile web and native app testing. It has better console details to provide detailed information at each step of testing so that user can have better record details. I would strongly recommend Appium tool to all users who has requirement for mobile automation testing, worth using it.

Appium has the best features that can be used for mobile automation and since it is an open source tool it makes even more convenient and cost effective to use. Best part is, it has no dependency on the OS of the mobile, it can be any, android or iOS. It is designed to be programmable and can be used any language like java, python, ruby etc. It can be integrated with many other software out of which one is Eclipse IDE. With all such features and benefits, Appium stands at the top in the current market compared to other similar products.

Appium is an open source tool due to which it allows user to save lot for the automation compared to manual. It has very good web-driver compatibility, selenium web driver is the best integration as a web driver to connect the appium with. it also supports different framework for testing and almost works on mobile platforms. Really helps the developers as well as automation testers to configure and even can learn the features at the same time. Connectivity between the servers and Xcode's tool during execution is really appreciative.

What do you dislike most about this product?

It is very hard during element browsing, seems not reliable as it creates many errors and its very hard to resolve. Even sometime runs slow compared to other software which is only thing I am discomfort with, otherwise it is the best software for mobile automation testing.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would definitely suggest Appium for mobile automation testing, firstly, it is open source tool and secondly, it has the best features and benefits which user can avail and finally it is very effective in use with great technical support team.
