Swit has launched a new Advanced tier for its collaboration suite, enabling innovative cross-team collaboration for small and large organizations.
Key features of Swit Advanced:
- Designed for multiple-team collaboration beyond single workspaces.
- Aligns notifications and search across workspaces and teams.
- Customizable notifications from every workspace can be managed in one space.
- Members can scale and build as many workspaces as they want with a single account.
“The main point we want to convey with the introduction of Swit [Advanced] is that Swit is not one of many single-function apps that have or will eventually be killed off,” Swit CEO Josh Lee stated at launch. “Swit benefits from being the last mover [of the team collaboration marketplace], introducing a new era for ‘teams collaboration’.”

Our Take
Swit continues to be a disrupter in the team collaboration marketplace. Its aim to be the holy grail of collaboration gets one-step closer with its focus on “teams collaboration,” rather than single collaboration workspaces.
Focusing on cross-team collaboration is an excellent selling point for Swit Advanced because it accounts for the fact that many teams within an organization are increasingly fluid. Enabling collaboration across teams through a single platform streamlines information transfer and knowledge sharing.
However, this is not the first time enabling cross-team collaboration has been seen as a feature in the team collaboration market. Microsoft Teams also offers this function, for instance. The danger for Swit might be that there is little incentive for users to switch to their platform if Teams comes as part of an Office 365 license.
Swit’s defense, though, is that its cross-team collaboration functions not merely over instant messaging, but through its productivity and task management suite too. This enables a complete collaboration ecosystem, with users not having to switch between apps, as with Office 365.
