Zerto, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company, empowers customers to run an always-on business by simplifying the protection, recovery, and mobility of on-premises and cloud applications. Zerto’s cloud data management and protection platform eliminates the risks and complexity of modernization and cloud adoption across private, public, and hybrid deployments.

What differentiates Zerto Platform from other similar products?

Zerto Platform supports fast data recovery from both public and private clouds to achieve constant business continuity.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The AWS VM recovery. The user interface besides being intuitive promotes fast learning and adoption of the software.

What do you dislike most about this product?

With Zerto, moving VMs from protection group to another is quite complex, which should not be the case normally.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would recommend it for backups of both large and small databases as the flexibility is very impressive.

The ease of usability Very quick to restore during replication

What do you dislike most about this product?

Replication can take a lonng time if huge data is involved.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

The vendor is available and easy to work with. I highly recommend the software.

Replication for High Availability Beyond secondary copy backup, the solution also manages replication of primary data host-to-host and site-to-site for live failover and high availability.

Backup of Cloud Based Data In addition to targeting backups to the cloud, the solution also has the capability to back up primary data and services already in the cloud.

Replication for Long Term Storage and Disaster Recovery Onsite backup data is replicated and stored to a public cloud (AWS, Azure). Can also include restore-to-cloud capabilities for Disaster Recovery as a Service.

Continuous Data Protection Changed data is replicated continuously and maintained in a journal, allowing an application to be consistently restored to almost any previous point in time.

Backup Automation Solution automates backup, recovery and remediation tasks using RestAPI and CLI to integrate with 3rd party solutions, reduce cost and enforce standards.

Application Consistency Groupings Provides internally consistent protection, mobility, and recovery, including from both short- and long-term retention and for a single/entire VM.
