What is Zapier?

Zapier is the glue that connects thousands of web apps. Zaps are workflows that connect your apps, so they can work together. Zaps start with a trigger—an event in one of your apps that kicks off your workflow. Zaps automate tasks in the background, so you can focus on more important work.

What differentiates Zapier from other similar products?

Super easy to use and set up integrations, there is a plethora of other tools and systems that it works alongside and it helps streamline and automate work-streams.

Being able to create you own rules and plug and play with inputs and outputs, it gives you flexibility to create what you need.

Awesome Automation Tool

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Zapier from other similar products?

I love how easy it is to connect two systems; the triggers and actions are intuitive and exactly in line with what I want.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

We use Zapier to combine loads of data into Google Sheets -- it helps us with data analysis and goaling, and it's made the process significantly easier.

What do you dislike most about this product?

For better or for worse, Zapier updates some of their zaps pretty frequently, and I can find that I'm using a deprecated version of a Zap without really any heads up. Once deprecated, the Zaps have a tendency to fail more often, and it's always a troubleshooting exercise -- I wish I had better notice around the deprecations.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

To use Zapier effectively, you've got to have an idea for what you want to do with it. Make sure they are tied to the systems you want before moving forward; however, Zapier is super flexible, and I highly recommend using it for your integrations.

Pros

  • Reliable
  • Enables Productivity
  • Efficient Service
  • Caring

Great for integrating and automating processes

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates Zapier from other similar products?

Zapier enables us to automate simple processes that individuals perform on a daily basis, freeing them up to focus on more inventive work. Zapier solves the challenge of linking many apps and pulling data from one to another. I truly like this since it's something that I believe almost everyone in technology should be aware of.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I enjoy how Zapier links to so many different websites. This has facilitated a smooth transition to other apps. It's also, for the most part, fairly simple to set up. I like how many apps you can link to using Zapier. It is incredibly simple to automate processes between practically all of my company's systems. It's also quite simple to convey to our clients that if they want to automate a process, they may utilize Zapier.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Our clients have reported instances of Zapiers disconnecting for no apparent reason. Using Zapier to produce records is simple: when X occurs, Y gets created. What I find more difficult is updating and removing records. Yes, this is feasible, but I normally have to take extra measures to save IDs when I create data, then seek for those IDs (usually in a google sheet or something) when I want to update/delete records.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

This is the best integration tool I have ever worked with, plus it has many more integrations available than its competitors.

Pros

  • Continually Improving Product
  • Reliable
  • Performance Enhancing
  • Enables Productivity
