What differentiates VMware Live Recovery from other similar products?

It has the best integration into VMware, on the flip side, it doesn't integrate at all with other hypervisors

Relative ease of use

Not platform agnostic

consider if you are going to be purely VMware, or possibly using other hypervisors and cloud as well

What do you dislike most about this product?

No automation for testing and reporting.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Easy to use because its part of VMware, but some third party applications have a little more functionality.

Replication for High Availability Beyond secondary copy backup, the solution also manages replication of primary data host-to-host and site-to-site for live failover and high availability.

Backup of Cloud Based Data In addition to targeting backups to the cloud, the solution also has the capability to back up primary data and services already in the cloud.

Backup Automation Solution automates backup, recovery and remediation tasks using RestAPI and CLI to integrate with 3rd party solutions, reduce cost and enforce standards.

Backup Monitoring and Reporting Backup and replication are continually monitored for status and effectiveness. Detailed reporting is available on successful and unsuccessful operations.

Deduplication Implementation Deduplication of redundant data blocks is implemented by the solution. Deduplication can be at source, target, or globally (source and target).

Replication for Long Term Storage and Disaster Recovery Onsite backup data is replicated and stored to a public cloud (AWS, Azure). Can also include restore-to-cloud capabilities for Disaster Recovery as a Service.
