What differentiates Veeam Data Platform from other similar products?

Veeam ensures optimal and modern data protection, integrates easily into any environment, and is highly flexible. It has enabled the enterprise to fix security backups and significantly accelerates the hybrid cloud. Provides a lot of security when working due to its reliable ability to perform backups, replications and recoveries. It is adequately adapted to the needs of the company and greatly improves productivity.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Allows you to make backups without any interruption. It successfully simplifies the data recovery process. It has excellent replication, allowing data to be moved and sent from one repertoire to another. Allows you to compress data while backing up saves time and storage space. I like this software because it is fast and safe and it also saves us time and money.

What do you dislike most about this product?

The initial configuration takes a considerable time, it is necessary to incorporate more documentation to speed up this process.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

This solution guarantees total data security and optimizes backup and restoration. It is a great advantage to implement it, to have all the information backed up. I recommend it.

What differentiates Veeam Data Platform from other similar products?

Veeam works incredibly well with vSphere VMs

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Once you set it up, it just works. Very minimal failures, what few failures there are usually based on either VMs being unavailable or storage unavailable for whatever reasons.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Some capabilities feel shoe-horned in to the product.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Excellent option for nightly backup solution.

Virtual Machine Backup Automatically discovers and protects VMs as they come online, move, and change. Production VMs are replicated to a secondary data store.

Backup Automation Solution automates backup, recovery and remediation tasks using RestAPI and CLI to integrate with 3rd party solutions, reduce cost and enforce standards.

Replication for Long Term Storage and Disaster Recovery Onsite backup data is replicated and stored to a public cloud (AWS, Azure). Can also include restore-to-cloud capabilities for Disaster Recovery as a Service.

Replication for High Availability Beyond secondary copy backup, the solution also manages replication of primary data host-to-host and site-to-site for live failover and high availability.

Deduplication Implementation Deduplication of redundant data blocks is implemented by the solution. Deduplication can be at source, target, or globally (source and target).

File Explorer Granular Restore Individual files can be located and restored from backup media without the need for full system mounting and restore.

Backup Monitoring and Reporting Backup and replication are continually monitored for status and effectiveness. Detailed reporting is available on successful and unsuccessful operations.

Physical Backup for Multiple Platforms Backs up data and system info for non-virtualized systems. Primarily Windows and Linux servers but also, potentially, AIX, Unix and others.
