What differentiates Twilio MessagingX from other similar products?
Cost of service is a major point of differentiation. Twilio was adopted towards the end of my stay at my former organization, and the cost of sms delivery, especially to non-western countries was a major determinant. I am very sure this was a major factor for Twilio being adopted , in my current company as well.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I like that we are able to track the rate of delivery of our content via sms. Interestingly with Twilio, we rarely have experienced major upheavals when it comes to sms delivery to target recipients.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Twilio was adopted by my organizations marketing department for delivering sms messages to target recipients. However, Twilio is not built primarily for this, as it is being used by our development team for two-factor authentication. This perhaps is the reason why Twilio does not provide any form of marketing analytic for marketing content , we send via the Twilio platform. For us as an organization, it is an area we will like to see Twilio really explore and improve upon.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Depends on intended use really. For companies looking to adopt Twilio for marketing purposes, they have to keep in mind that it was not formally built for that purpose, and that creates obvious limitations.
