What differentiates ThreatLocker from other similar products?
ThreatLocker enables the central deployment and management of application control across numerous clients and endpoints, avoiding the complexity we experienced with alternatives. Support has been prompt, with most questions answered very quickly via chat. They also have a lot of outstanding training videos, which help administrators get up to speed quickly. Best of all, the product is constantly being improved, so it continues to become better.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I like how ThreatLocker analyses every single file and restricts it to the level that we specify. That can, of course, cause issues at times, but it is also the essence of zero trust. The software itself works well, and if there is an issue, assistance responds quickly. It is a highly comprehensive tool, and its cluster is quite organized and intuitive in comparison to other solutions.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Some feature requests, such as SSO, have been sluggish to develop, but they have made modest progress over time. There is occasionally an admin panel delay, which adds extra time to whitelist requests, however, this is getting less common over time.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Despite a few minor issues that make it a little awkward, it seems to be good overall. I like the feeling of security the program offers me, especially knowing that other people are protected against themselves even though they are less watchful than I am. The process for approving new programs functions fairly well, and the support is outstanding!

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Steep learning curve. Very effective, but we had to go through multiple training session to get up to speed. That said, the ThreatLocker Team was VERY helpful during the implement and training. It does require constant attention when a client has the install a new/update an application. We're getting better at globally whitelisting good known applications, but there are still one offs that have be approved individually. Attempting to implement Application Whitelisting (like with Group Policy Software Restriction) without a tool like ThreatLocker is suicide.
