An Intuitive, Feature-Rich Test Automation Tool
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates TestComplete from other similar products?
I've been automating both desktop and web Uls with TestComplete-its smart object-recognition (item highlighting in keyword tests), combined with a mix of no-code keywords and full scripting (VBScript, Python, JavaScript), means our QA team can spin up tests in hours and plug straight into Jenkins/Azure DevOps
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
My favorite aspect is its resilient object-recognition engine—tests still find the right UI elements even after minor layout or styling changes.
What do you dislike most about this product?
I dislike its inconsistent reliability most of all—tests often flop (you’ll rerun the same script dozens—or even 100+—times to hit a pass rate that can dip below 80%), large suites freeze unexpectedly, and support tickets can sit unresolved for over a day with no phone backup.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Before you commit, try a small trial of your key test flows to see how often tests fail or freeze (some teams report under 80% pass rates even after 100+ reruns) , plan to write VBScript/Python/JavaScript scripts rather than relying only on click-recording for tricky or dynamic UIs , and budget for licenses starting at around $2,256 per seat per year—with faster support SLAs available at extra cost .

Powerful Testing Made Easy with the Right Approach
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates TestComplete from other similar products?
TestComplete is the quiet powerhouse. It doesn’t demand you to jump through hoops — you just test, whether you’re coding or not. It adapts, works with whatever you throw at it, and doesn’t make you question if it's even doing its job. It’s simple, yet powerful.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I love how TestComplete makes testing effortless. Smart object recognition and codeless options let you focus on testing, not fighting with the tool.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It sometimes struggles with custom UIs, needing extra tweaks to get everything smooth.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
TestComplete is a good tool if you're thinking about it, but it takes some work. Be ready to adapt, particularly while using complicated apps. It becomes a dependable component of your testing procedure once you become acquainted with it. Just don't count on it being completely plug-and-play right out of the box.

Like a Tester with a Memory: Reliable and Sharp
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates TestComplete from other similar products?
TestComplete excels due to its simplicity of use and strength. It is possible to either click and record or write programs. It is adept at identifying UI changes and manages all app kinds, including desktop, online, and mobile. This tool isn't the lightest, but it's really useful for teams that don't want to get bogged down in technical details.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
Really, what's the best part? It somehow "gets" your app. It seems as though TestComplete remembers the vibe rather than simply the code because it continues to click the correct things even when buttons move or labels slightly alter. It's similar to a muscle memory test. Intelligent UI recognition like that? Very underappreciated.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It’s kinda slow sometimes and feels heavy, especially with big tests cases.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Make sure your team is comfortable with some setup and learning if you're considering TestComplete. Mixed teams with both programmers and non-programmers work best. To find out if it matches your workflow, try the trial first.
