Your business analysis tool
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Tableau from other similar products?
We use Tableau Public as a data reporting toolset, dashboards within the marketing team, it is suitable for more traditional organizations, with a lot of experienced staff who can spend time creating good dashboards with it. It is a software that offers us 4 components of TABLEAU which are: TABLEAU Prep, TABLEAU Desktop, TABLEAU online, TABLEAU server.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
As the Tableau service is free, it has allowed us a good analysis in data reports, we have built incredible visualizations with it, it allows us to share dashboards and great Variety of data sources supported by its connectors, from flat files, Excel, RDBMS and Hadoop to NoSQL databases.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The full license of the program is very expensive so it leads only to use the Tableau Public product which is free. It also has slow rendering when the volume is larger than usual. the data file must be clearly filtered, which means that all columns must be consistent, with no extra space. Otherwise, it will cause problems in the dataset.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
For this type of software is better to have the free version (Tableau Public) because with its light version is better not helped with data and dashboard reports, the data must be clearly filtered to have no inconsistencies in the columns with no extra space so as not to have problems in the dataset in Tableau Public.
