Lot of features and functionalities but bit pricey
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Tableau CRM Analytics from other similar products?
1. Features like dataflow and recipe are only in Tableau CRM 2. It is good option if all your data is in Salesforce. 3. There is already embedded AI and Machine learning so we don't have to much in Salesforce Discovery.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
1. Visualization of 50Million data is possible. 2. Data transformation is there with the help of dataflow. There are so many features available in the recipe which make data transformation so easy.
What do you dislike most about this product?
1. Limitation of features. But It has been continuously growing since the launch. They keep adding cool features quarterly.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
It has limited features compared to other BI software but it also new tool as compared to other. It has grown exponentially since 2016.

What differentiates Tableau CRM Analytics from other similar products?
Optimized for the Force.com platform
What do you dislike most about this product?
The name change, there's no actual Tableau technology in Tableau CRM. Once it fell under the Tableau umbrella, the focus seems to have shifted. My dream would be the Tableau client experience on top of the Tableau CRM backend
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Is the vast majority of your data in Force.com applications, then great, grab some platform licenses from Salesforce, if not, but you are using Force.com applications from Salesforce or their ISVs, then leverage the packaged apps SF and partners like FinancialForce have built using the technology
Pros
- Includes Product Enhancements
- Helps Innovate
- Performance Enhancing
- Enables Productivity
Cons
- Slower Product Innovation
- Vendor Friendly Policies
- Vendor's Interest First

What differentiates Tableau CRM Analytics from other similar products?
The biggest difference between the two platforms is what they focus on. I feel like Tableau CRM focuses more on creating the right dashboards to gain insights in your data, while Tableau Desktop focuses more on manipulating your data in order to create the right visualizations.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
For example, in Trailhead they mostly start by building a diagram and afterwards making changes so that you get the correct insights. In Tableau they mostly start with manipulating the data and afterwards making the diagram so you immediately get the right insights. So I think that Tableau CRM is more catered towards people who are just starting their data journey. While Tableau Desktop is catered towards people with a little bit more knowledge about data.
What do you dislike most about this product?
It is unstructured, not many documentation
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
If you’re looking for a business intelligence tool to use with your Salesforce data, then Tableau CRM is probably the best option
