What differentiates Squarespace from other similar products?

Squarespace has a variety of templates that are so easy to use once you make your selection. I was able to find a template that I liked and then plug in photos, text, and contact information very quickly. I'd never built a website before, but having this software made it simple for me. I also love that you don't have to be a web designer to use their templates and make a good-looking website.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

How easy it was to build the website. What originally sounded like a daunting task ended up being not only easy but also fun. It was fun to customize the website how I wanted it to look and to be able to play around moving things to different pages or spots on my website.

What do you dislike most about this product?

As I said, I'm not a website designer, so I was limited to the templates they had available. Squarespace does a nice job providing multiple options, but it would always be great to have more customizable choices and more templates to fit the look I'm going for. I was definitely satisfied with what I got for the price, but it did kind of feel like my website was a bit "cookie-cutter" looking compared to what I had seen other people produced who recommended Squarespace to me. That being said, I feel like what I got for the price I paid was well worth it for me.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Give it a shot. Make sure you explore all of the templates until you find the one that has the best feel for whatever product or service you're building a website for. It's not nearly as difficult as it sounds and the Squarespace team was very helpful if I had any questions or issues with my site.

What differentiates Squarespace from other similar products?

The ease of use, even for people that aren't familiar with either web builders or websites in general, is vastly superior to other solutions such as Wix. It's very hard to actually make a bad looking website in Squarespace, even when you don't know what you're doing.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Being able to quickly train my clients how to customize, use and implement their website has been a huge game-changer. It's very easy to use and it doesn't take long until they get the hang of it.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Every Squarespace site that I've seen looks like every other Squarespace site that I've ever seen. I find that even with the templates that you can use, most of the sites generally just muddle together so it's hard to make your site stand out amongst others.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Be ready to have a simple, but clean website. Heavily customize it to make it stand out and dig into tutorials and how-to articles.
