What differentiates Squarespace from other similar products?

The design functionality is easier than other website apps I've used. I rarely have to get into the code because the out-of-the-box components are sufficient most of the time.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

The internal navigation is great - being able to sort pages in a way that makes the most sense to us on the back-end, but without that organization system being visible to website visitors. (You can create folders and arrange them however you want. Pages don't have to be organized according to the forward-facing nav.)

What do you dislike most about this product?

The analytics are lacking. I continue to use Google Analytics for everything because it has way more options for custom tags and reports.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Be sure to implement Google Analytics alongside Squarespace so you have the data ready when you need an answer to an analytics question. Squarespace might not have your answer.

What differentiates Squarespace from other similar products?

I have used WordPress over the years and am impressed with how many features they have and the level of customization; however it's not as intuitive to use as SquareSpace. SquareSpace makes it wicked easy for people with various tech abilities to build up a website. You can use templates and edit those to your liking if you are a novice. Or you can go deeper into customization and HTML if you are a professional.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

How fast it is to go from nothing to a functional website. So simple for novice website builders to utilize for a quick launch. Also the customer support is the best I have experienced through a company, there is a reason they pride themsleves on their support.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I wish there was a bit more support for podcasters, I am migrating this aspect of my website to a hosting service. Understandable though since this isn't their target market.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Go for it. I have explored other website designers and have been coming back to SquareSpace for over a decade. Any time I have a new client I recommend they start or switch to SquareSpace.
