What is your favorite aspect of this product?

1) Splunk's unique Risk-Based Alerting (RBA) feature helps reduce false positives by triggering alerts only when risk surpasses predefined thresholds. This helps in prioritizing incidents effectively. 2) Splunk's versatility for integrating diverse data sets from various systems and applications.

What do you dislike most about this product?

1) Running Splunk requires significant computing resources as sometimes when you run complex queries or large datasets, you might run into performance bottlenecks. 2) Splunk's inability to send clear event notifications. Currently, Splunk can only send notification to event management tools when triggering condition is met, but when it goes back to normal, Splunk doesn’t have a capability to auto clear an alert.

Splunk is a powerful observability tool to be employed in every organization which not only gives data insights i.e., searching and analyzing the data at scale but also go beyond to help detecting the threats. Its risk-based alerting helps proactively prioritizing the issues so we can act decisively and reduce Mean-Time-To-Detect and Mean-Time-To-Respond.

My least favorite aspect of Splunk Cloud Platform is the initial sticker shock that can accompany its robust feature set, sometimes making it a challenging budgetary conversation for smaller organizations or those with limited resources.
