What differentiates Splunk APM from other similar products?
We’ve relied on Splunk APM to track the health of our production management system. When one of the APIs for real-time order tracking began to slow down during peak hours, Splunk’s distributed tracing pinpointed the bottleneck—a misconfigured database query. Fixing that one issue shaved seconds off response times, which might seem small, but made a world of difference for our production team’s efficiency.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
One feature I keep coming back to is the service map visualization. Seeing every component of our applications and how they interact in real-time makes troubleshooting intuitive. It’s like having a blueprint of your app’s inner workings, helping us identify latency issues and dependencies at a glance.
What do you dislike most about this product?
On the downside, the learning curve for new users is noticeable.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I’d recommend Splunk APM to any IT team managing complex applications. It’s like having a magnifying glass for your system’s performance, ensuring no issue, however small, slips through the cracks.
