An Incredible CAD Software!

Likeliness to Recommend

9 /10

What differentiates SOLIDWORKS from other similar products?

Solidworks is different from other similar products because of its wide variety of tools and options when it comes to manipulating 3d shapes. It can simulate temperature, force, and other physical simulations that few of its competitors can do. On top of that, it is very easy to use and customize if you know the software well.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite aspect of this product is how many different choices I have for testing my 3d creation. I can simulate dropping it from the Empire State Building, I can simulate it catching on fire. I can simulate so many different things on this software! It is incredible how much more it offers than its counterparts.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Even though there are a lot of simulations, but they take way too long. Just for a simulation to run its course, I usually have to wait five hours! There must be a quicker way to do this, for all that Solidworks has accomplished, it seems odd that they couldn't solve this issue.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Definitely try it out. However, if you are a beginner in CAD, I would steer you away from this software. This software is meant for professionals and it is very hard to learn as a beginner. If you are just coming to learn, I suggest Onshape.
