The best platform for company-wide communication
Likeliness to Recommend
What differentiates Slack from other similar products?
The best part of Slack is its cool and easy-to-adapt User Interface, making it possible for newly-joined interns to the top leadership to communicate using it, across team and broadcast messages in channels. In fact, its features like secret channels, custom emoji/reaction creation, Huddles etc are truly unique
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
I love the option of editing messages and maintaining of threads, which helps keep a single topic maintained and easy to track. Moreover notifications appear perfectly aligned and easy to respond to. Integrations with Zapier, Google Sheets and a host of internal business and tech tools on Slack helps me manage my tasks and calendar from within Slack itself mostly without having to shift tabs.
What do you dislike most about this product?
To be honest, there is literally nothing that I dislike about Slack as a tool. Yes, there is scope of improvement such as showing Edit History in a more transparent manner for group and channel messages. The TAT for their Support Team can also be better.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would suggest to first build a culture of transparency and fast responsiveness within the organisation before implementing Slack companywide. The hait of seeing notifications and responding to them timely, reacting to messages, being organised and maintaining topic or projectwise threads etc are very necessary to get the maximum results out of Slack.
Pros
- Helps Innovate
- Continually Improving Product
- Reliable
- Performance Enhancing

Slack is easy when it comes to communication, Slack isn't slow and its equipped to handle hundreds of messages coming in within minutes.

I don't enjoy how everything is slacked together, it's organized but looks unorganized at the same time.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Slack is powerful, and if you're looking for multi-communicative software accessible to everyone even if you have 100k employees, then Slack is your answer. You'll be able to keep everyone updated and see who's available with real-time responses instant messaging/reactions, etc.
