What differentiates Selenium from other similar products?

Uses an official W3C standard. Most popular product, pretty much everyone has experience with it. Tons of documentation and tutorials available. Open source.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Open Source. Available in multiple programming languages.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Slow performance, due to multi-tier architecture - programming code -> grid server -> browser driver -> browser. Due to the slow performance tests frequently suffer from stability issues.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you have a very experienced person, you should use it. You will need somebody to guide you through the minefield of potentially bad implementations. If nobody on your team has experience, consider some of the other tools.
