What differentiates Rubrik Cloud Data Management from other similar products?

There are so many things in Rubik e.g. management is straightforward and intuitive, incredible compression and deduplication although It ingests data extremely quickly, cutting backup time in half. The integration of cloud storage makes archiving a breeze.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I had to personally monitor all of the backups that were ongoing prior to discovering Rubrik and how amazing it works; now, with Rubrik, I have more time to myself because I don't have to be there for backups to be taken; Rubrik simply takes care of them all the way. The live recovery feature is fantastic because it works almost instantly.

What do you dislike most about this product?

There is nothing wrong with this product. The product is effective and efficient. Pricing is a different matter because we get what we pay for, and this product delivers as expected. Really an amazing backup application.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Truly in favor of this product and want to recommend it to other organizations. The ease of use is also important to us. It's very simple to get started. We were backing up data locally into the cloud and testing restores within a few hours of them deploying the on-premises appliance.

Multitude of features and reliability

Bricks are slow during reboot. Niche DB platforms such as DB2 not supported

Amazing product, covers most business needs. If the price is right, this is a good product

Analytics Built-in real-time and historical reporting and analytics on SLAs, performance, and resource consumption, as well as predictive capabilities to plan & optimize.

Virtual Machine Backup Automatically discovers and protects VMs as they come online, move, and change. Production VMs are replicated to a secondary data store.

Backup Automation Solution automates backup, recovery and remediation tasks using RestAPI and CLI to integrate with 3rd party solutions, reduce cost and enforce standards.

Replication for High Availability Beyond secondary copy backup, the solution also manages replication of primary data host-to-host and site-to-site for live failover and high availability.

File Explorer Granular Restore Individual files can be located and restored from backup media without the need for full system mounting and restore.

Deduplication Implementation Deduplication of redundant data blocks is implemented by the solution. Deduplication can be at source, target, or globally (source and target).

Backup of Cloud Based Data In addition to targeting backups to the cloud, the solution also has the capability to back up primary data and services already in the cloud.

Backup Monitoring and Reporting Backup and replication are continually monitored for status and effectiveness. Detailed reporting is available on successful and unsuccessful operations.

Automated Backup Testing and Verification Goes beyond monitoring whether backup jobs completed by verifying the integrity of data restoration.
