What differentiates Rocket.Chat from other similar products?

Rocket.Chat stands out because it’s open-source, which means businesses can fully customize it to their needs. Unlike many other tools, it gives you more control over things like design and integrations with other systems. It’s also great for privacy, offering options to host your data yourself. Plus, with a strong community backing it, Rocket.Chat is always improving, making it a flexible and cost-effective choice compared to other similar products.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

My favorite thing about Rocket.Chat is how flexible it is. Since it’s open-source, businesses can easily customize it to suit their needs, whether that’s changing the design, adding new features, or connecting it to other tools. The ability to host it yourself for better privacy and security makes it even more appealing. It really lets teams build a communication tool that works perfectly for them.

What do you dislike most about this product?

I don’t like is that setting up Rocket.Chat can be tricky, especially for people who are non technical. It might need some technical help to get everything working right.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

I would suggest checking if your team has the technical skills to set up and manage Rocket.Chat, as it can be tricky. Make sure it works well with your current tools and will grow with your needs. Also, use the active community for help and advice.

Price! Teams, Slack and Webex are better though.

OpenSource Secure Scalable

What do you dislike most about this product?

Functionality/Ease of use is shi* RocketChat's documentation is imperfect. RocketChat requires interfering with the server code.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you've got the budget, DON'T!!

Looks like a simple and easy to use software without a lot of added functionality all over the place. It also has possibilities to be very configurable to access directly to other pages, chats through links .
