Fully Integrated, Enterprise-Grade Platform, Security First, Out of the Box, OpenShift Container Platform vs. OpenShift Dedicated, Enterprise Support + Open Source Upstream (OKD), Powerful Dev and Ops Experience, Hybrid Cloud and Edge-Ready, Operator Framework.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Integrated Developer Experience (Dev Console + GitOps + CI/CD),

What do you dislike most about this product?

Challenging Upgrades, Resource-Intensive, Configuration Complexity.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Start with a Managed Option (ROSA or ARO), Invest in Training Early, Designate Platform Owners or SREs, Leverage GitOps and Automation from Day One, Use Operators, But Start Small, Plan for Security Upfront, Pilot with a Non-Critical App First

What differentiates Red Hat Openshift from other similar products?

What makes OpenShift differrent from others is how it blends Kubernetes with tools for CI/CD, security, and developer support. It’s kind of an all-in-one platform

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

I really like the built-in developer tools and how easy it is to deploy and manage apps once you get the hang of it

What do you dislike most about this product?

Honestly, the learning curve is kinda steep at first. There’s a lot of docs to read and some stuff feels overly complicated

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

If you’re thinking about using it, make sure you have folks on your team who are comfy with Kubernetes

What do you dislike most about this product?

High cost compared to other Kubernetes distributions.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Before committing to Openshift across your entire infrastructure run a pilot project to understand how it integrates with your existing applications and processes.
