The Net Emotional Footprint measures high-level user sentiment towards particular product offerings. What differentiates Paylocity from other similar products?
Previously I worked in a multi client environment where we utilized, ADP (WFN and RUN), Gusto, Paychex, Trinet, Zenefits and Paylocity. Overall Paylocity is a solid solution if you are looking to store sensitive employee information, easy to use, and great support when you have questions. This system has a lot of power behind it, and ability to support your compliance needs for Federal and State reporting. In addition, as you become familiar with it, it becomes easy to navigate. It lacks the "clumsiness" of some of it competitors and pricing is fair to the market.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The ability for the system to be the complete Payroll and HR solution is the biggest advantage. From recruiting, onboarding, payroll and terminations it handles the full life cycle of your employees. It has an easy integration to benefits, allowing for automatic feeds and GL mapping. Overall it is a great system for one stop HR/Payroll needs.
What do you dislike most about this product?
Implementations can be hard depending on the size of your organization and the individual who is overseeing it. I have been fortunate that all my interactions with Paylocity have been stellar. I have however heard that with out the right specialist it can be hard and not seemless.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Be ready to embrace the power behind the system. Utilize it to the full capacity as it is only as good as what you put into it. Make sure that you are an active member of the utilization so that what is put into the system matches what you need it to do. And never be afraid to ask questions or verify that what you are doing is correct (they have an awesome support staff who will guide you through some of the difficult set ups)

Great product, fairly easy to utilize.

What differentiates Paylocity from other similar products?
Paylocity worked hard with our accounting software vendor to allow us to download into the accounting. They were very willing to assist and create what needed to work for us.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The ease of the actual payroll process. I use it on a weekly basis and it's so easy to use, to make changes and direct deposit. Having Paylocity do our payroll taxes in full has been a huge time saver. I'd never go back.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The setup was a little frustrating but we got thru it. I wish that the Time Off feature would've had better training.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
Do the demo. Make sure that it will work with your accounting and ask them to create a report that will work with it to download if you need that.

What differentiates Paylocity from other similar products?
What I love most about Paylocity is the culture of continuous improvement. They are consistently rolling out new features that are actually adding value to my existing platform with them. These aren't features just for new members or requiring a paid-for upgrade. Weekly I get an email detailing the new benefits that Paylocity brings as a truly all in one HRIS/Payroll/Benefits/LMS system. I have worked with many other platforms, but Paylocity's easy user interface and customization options makes it stand out. Let's just put it this way, part of the reason I took my current job was that the company was already using Paylocity.
What is your favorite aspect of this product?
The people in client services. No matter what my concern is, I can either email or call and get an immediate response.
What do you dislike most about this product?
The Performance Review feature can be a little clunky when you're building a new review. But once you do the steps a few times, it's not bad.
What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?
I would highly recommend looking at their Knowledge Base (PEAK). They have great training available and it will give you wonderful insight into how Paylocity can work for you.
