What differentiates Paylocity from other similar products?

All-in-one product. From recruitment and applicant tracking, to onboarding, timekeeping, payroll - all one provider/program.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Potential for a one-stop-shop to meet all HR/payroll needs.

What do you dislike most about this product?

We received poor integration and orientation training. While Paylocity did admit this and attempt to make up for it - the damage had been done. Our implementation team had little to no knowledge of tax exemptions for government plans; and while provided with a copy of our leave policies did not correctly input the information so we had to manually track hours worked and leave time to obtain correct balances. Employer HSA matches were incorrectly adding to employees' gross income, etc. Trying to get assistance to fix it - and help during W-2 season - was almost impossible and took weeks.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

Ensure your implementation team is trained specifically for your business - public or private sector - and understands your needs. I hope we are able to give Paylocity a chance again in the future. I really liked the product - and it's a shame we had such poor training at the beginning. Our salesperson was amazing and attempted to help us at every opportunity, but even he had his limits. Again, if you notice issues, address them immediately - and go up to the top if you need to. Don't rely on your training team if you feel your questions aren't being answered. Don't assume, keep asking until you're satisfied.

What differentiates Paylocity from other similar products?

community is a feature that I enjoy. It's a way to blast announcement to the employees, celebrate milestones and recognition. I haven't seen this feature in other systems.

What is your favorite aspect of this product?

Community, impression and that fact you can automate lots of features.

What do you dislike most about this product?

Reporting, it change and make is a bit hard to edit.

What recommendations would you give to someone considering this product?

It's an easy system to work with had lots of features. They do listen to recommendations and update when needed. I've been with Paylocity under two companies now and have seen how different each company uses Paylocity. I say go full blown with all the features so that new hires workflow gets processed seamless, and you can automate a lot of the features.
